For my Mom & Grandma & a little extra

Here are the pieces I made for my Mom & Grandma. My Grandma gets the Sea Glass. It was my first attempt at setting something that wasn't polished & buffed for the purpose of being enveloped in silver. It was easier than I thought, but it is a small piece. The Ocean Jasper (my new favorite) is for my Mom. They have been such a support system for me in so many aspects of my life that this is just an infinitesimal token of the appreciation & love I feel for them. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have been given to these people as my family.

This is a little sneak peak of the filming going on in Durham. The movie "Main St" is being filmed a few blocks from my house & I snapped this while I was walking to my local watering hole. I haven't been able to get a pic of Orlando Bloom, but he's in the warehouse, I promise. It was getting ready to storm, so I wasn't going to wait (stalk) for him to run out..(that could have taken hours, or even days). It's amazing how long it takes to shoot a movie. I also don't have a pic of Colin Firth, Ellen Bernstyn or Patricia Clarkson, I do have a few of the crew, as they've adopted my little tavern & seafood restaurant as their "winding down" place. I'll thought I'd be able to get a couple more pics because they were supposed to film right in front of my favorite tavern, but the weather was not conducive to successful filming.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

omgosh PAM you're pieces are beautiful and stunning! I LOVE that you added the start to your mom's pendant. Those little touches make these pieces our own don't they? Awwww i'm so glad you posted these!!!
I would love to see Colin Firth and I looorve Ellen Byrnsten! Lucky you, it would be fun to meet some of the artists at your watering hole!
I'm thinking it might be a good eve later for a watering hole break! :-) Hugs!

oooo or is it a tiny cross? I tried to enlarge it. I also love the way you made the silver lines flow so wavy like the sea on the sea glass! :-)

Ummm, well it's just a little simple whirly thing. I need to do a bit more filing on it to smooth out....something. I was practicing cutting out tiny things (it's out of brass) & it was supposed to be a butterfy........I need more practice.
I'm glad you like the pieces, it really doesn't mean a lot that someone as talented as you thinks my pieces don't suck. :)
